Dear Cllr Stephanos Ioannou,
Thank you for your recent correspondence in which you raise residents concerns regarding street lighting along the footpath linking The Green to Norman Way.
We have recently surveyed this path and found that the 4 street lights along the pathway are working correctly however much of the light is being blocked out by overgrown trees and vegetation from the neighbouring properties.
We have written to all surround properties including UKPN and the Bowling Club advising of the need to have all overhanging vegetation cut back.
Property owners are given 28 days to respond to this request before we escalate things as this can be treated as Environmental Crime with the issuing of Enforcement Notices.

Norman way footpath to cherry tree pub- the one that goes between High Street. There is hardly any lighitng there and residents are scared to walk down this path in fear of a robbery. Can we explore some lighting here please?
