In response to your request, please find below a summary of consultancy costs for the three projects listed. These costs reflect the use of external expertise where specialist knowledge or additional capacity has supported the successful development and progression of these initiatives.
For the Southgate Town Centre project, consultants were appointed to support the development of the Masterplan Vision, lead community engagement activities ? including workshops with local schools ? and advise on design options for the Transport Interchange and Ashfield Parade. This use of consultancy brought in vital skills not readily available in-house, particularly in the early visioning stages. The total spend to date is approximately £105,300.
For the Queen Elizabeth Drive, Wynchgate and Park View review, consultancy support has primarily been used for project management and the collection of traffic data. The appointment was made on the basis of relevant experience in similar schemes to help ensure robust data gathering and informed project delivery. The total consultancy spend to date is approximately £10,000.
The Southgate Circus to Great Cambridge Junction Walking and Cycling Route has involved consultancy input across several project stages, from project management through to design development during the Exploration, Feasibility and Concept Design stages. Consultants also conducted traffic surveys and provided additional technical expertise. The total spend on consultancy to date is approximately £124,800.
These costs are covered by grant funding for these specific initiatives.
