The external Cafe works have been undertaken by the Council and are now complete. The public WCs are therefore now open again. We are currently in communication with the Tenants to agree for them to undertake internal repairs repairs and decoration. We hope the Cafe will be open in July/August, however this is subject to completion of the remaining repairs.

I see that there has been some welcome progress on the longstanding problem to the cafe building in Grovelands Park. The roof has been repaired and (most importantly) the toilets are now open – a great relief (literally). Do you have any information on this and whether the cafe is likely to be reopened this summer. I have had no response to enquiries made to councillors responsible for parks, and the notice posted on the building seems to indicate that the building itself still not safe.
