MEQ- Littering – Groveland’s Park

Response details:

Dear Cllr Stephanos Ioannou,

Thanks for your enquiry regarding the verge by Grovelands Park.

I am unsure as to what entrance you mean. Street cleansing visit both locations once a week, Due to abuse of litter bins, we had had to remove bins from this local area and are hesitant installing new bins as we feel this may make things worse. We have asked a supervisor to monitor the area for litter, as well as the local operatives. The parks department may consider installing more bins, but this isn’t something street cleansing is looking to do at this time.

Kind Regards
Supervisor Street Cleansing

Original enquiry description:
Ive noticed a significant amount of litter along the verge and grass area leading to the entrance of Groveland’s Park. This issue seems to have worsened over the years with the poor quality of people moving into the area. and the general demise of society under socialism. Would it be possible for Enfield Council to place a few more bins and arrange for road sweepers to help maintain cleanliness in this area?
