Just to let you know that the above application for the installation of a 20m high telecommunications monopole with equipment cabinets at base and associated works was refused yesterday due to the reason below.
The proposed monopole, by reason of its excessive height, design, scale and siting would result in a significantly prominent and incongruous feature that would result in demonstrable harm to the visual amenity and character and appearance of the area. The proposal would therefore be contrary to the advice contained within the National Planning Policy Framework, London Plan (2016) policies 7.1, 7.4, 7.5 and 7.6, policy CP30 of the Core Strategy (2010) and policy DMD37 of the Development Management Document (2014).
