Thank you for your email regarding the burger van that is parking in The Vale N14.
The vehicle is taxed and its weight does not exceed the over night lorry ban restriction of 5 tonne. As The Vale does not have parking restrictions in place the Council has no powers to request the vehicle is not parked on the public highway as it is not contravening any parking restrictions.

Good evening. Parking Department. I would like to bring to your attention a situation that is currently happening in the Oakwood State, particularly on the Vale.
There is a Billy’s burger van. That is continuously parked on the road. And again, it is a nuisance. This is a very heavy vehicle. In fact, it as a HGV vehicle and should be stored in the correct manner, not in a residential address. I do not even believe that the resident actually lives within the vicinity and is casually parking there every night and moving to another location. They don’t actually live there, therefore.
Can the Department please look into this as a matter of urgency and ensure polite notice to the driver to mention that they should be more considerate where they park as it does frustrate local residents. The registration of the vehicle is AP23FMJ Thank you.
