Dear Department,
Can I please revive confirmation that no newspaper stand outside or around Southgate Tube will be removed. These are an asset to our community and keep the public informed. I am not in favour or support this news. Very unwelcome.

News stands on the public highway require a licence from the Council and are subject to a consultation with affected parties.
According to our records the Enfield Independent has not requested a licence for any of the sites where news stands have been placed so we are removing them.
Any requests for the placing of such structures on the public highway are dealt with on a case by case basis.
