Grant Close Greenery Issue- MEQ

Original Email:

Dear Department,

I hope you can see from the attached image that the greenery around the bend of Grant Close, going onto Nursery Road, is clearly in desperate need of some wooden bollards to stop cars mounting and cutting the pavement. The issue has become so bad that the grass probably needs relaying, and I have been in touch with residents of the road who agree bollards of a wooden type would be sensible and needed.

Please can we relay the grass and install wooden bollards.

Kind Regards,
Cllr. Stephanos Ioannou

Dear Cllr Ioannou,

Thanks for your enquiry dated 19th February 2019 regarding the damaged grass verge to the entrance of Grant Close Southgate. Further to my site visit, I can confirm that the damaged grass verge will be reinstated, and new timber bollards installed to protect the grass verge from being damaged again from vehicles over running the kerb.

Hope this answers your query.

Kind regards
