LOCKDOWN EASING

Classification: OFFICIAL

Dear Members

High Street Reopening.

In accordance with the next stage of the Government’s roadmap for easing of lockdown restrictions, on Monday 12 April certain businesses such as shops, hairdressers/barbers  can re-open and pubs and restaurants can allow outdoor eating at tables. The guidance is here.   The council has, with government funding, provided a supporting information pack to businesses to help them reopen safely which includes posters as well as pointers about how licensing has been adapted to help them trade outdoors.

Our COVID Marshalls continue to visit different areas of the borough, high streets and parks, to help maintain social distancing and support businesses with the evolving guidance and regulations.

If you are concerned that businesses might not be following covid secure measures or the restrictions, please contact the Council on
