Thank you for your query regarding the ‘campaign to bin gum’
The signs, stickers, and stencils are provided free of charge by the Chewing Gum Task Force, as part of a nationwide campaign to tackle gum litter. This initiative is funded by major gum producers, with the aim of encouraging responsible disposal of gum.
The Chewing Gum Task Force campaign includes:
Fully funded signage (lamp post signs, bin stickers and stencils).
Behaviour change messaging proven to reduce gum littering.
No cost to the council for these materials all printing and delivery are covered by the Task Force.

Can the department please tell me the total amount of expenditure on the campaign to bin gum including the signage and the spraying painting across the pavement. It seems that this has been the case across the entire borough-would be good to know all the cost.
