Thank you for raising concerns regarding vehicles travelling the wrong way on Crown Lane in N14 and turning at the junction with Ashfield Parade.
We are concerned to hear reports that drivers may be disregarding the existing one-way and no-entry restrictions. Non-compliance of this nature presents a clear safety risk to other road users, including pedestrians and cyclists.
Where drivers are contravening a no-entry restriction, enforcement is primarily a matter for the Metropolitan Police unless camera enforcement is in place. We can explore whether further enforcement or monitoring would be justified.
We will arrange for the location to be reviewed. This will include checking the existing signage and road markings to ensure they are clearly visible, correctly positioned and compliant with current regulations. We will also consider whether additional measures, such as enhanced signing, carriageway markings or liaison with enforcement partners, may be appropriate.

Can I please ask if the department has considered a report on the number of vehciles that are coming from the wrong side of crown lane on Southgate N14? Apparently residents are seeing more and more cars that are coming from the other side of the no-entry one way system and turning onto the junction of Ashfield Parade from the opposite end. Has this or can it be investigated please?
