Dear Cllr Stephanos Ioannou,
Thank you for your enquiry regarding the ongoing waste issues at Crown Parade, N14.
A referral was made for Community Payback to attend this location in December and I can confirm that they were in attendance today. All waste on this section of land has been removed and swept with the residents bins moved further up towards the entrance of the properties.
I will soon be issuing notices to all residential and commercial properties along Crown Parade regarding the permanent storage of bins here, as this is not permitted and is only encouraging further waste issues.
When Waste Services swapped the previous 1100 litre black residential household waste bins for individual wheeled bins, a sign was erected onto the fence line stating that bins are only to be presented for collection here and that they must be taken back to the property boundary after collection. The notices will reflect this also.
I will be contacting the NHS who are responsible for this section of land and advise them of the action that has and is yet to be taken and they will be responsible for the clearance of this land going forward. I will also discuss potential preventive measures to deter further fly-tipping at this site.
Please see attached photographs of the site after clearance.
Yours sincerely,
