MEQ- Dog fouling issues in Saxon Way N14

Case Reference: 101002021640

Response details:

Dear Cllr Stephanos Ioannou,

Thank you for your enquiry regarding ongoing dog fouling issues in Saxon Way N14.

Please can you provide the address of the individual who is failing to pick up their dog mess. This has to be the specific known address, and not speculation.

Additionally, if there is a time of day that this tends to happen, I can see if Enforcement Officers can attend and patrol the area.

Generally, Waste Enforcement do not address dog fouling, however I will make enquiries and see if there is anything that can be done.

I will also enquire with Street Cleansing to see if this is something that can be cleared off of the pavements.

Kind regards,
Waste Enforcement Officer

Original enquiry description:

I am writing to you on the advice of the police officers to ask you to assist you with the issue we have on our street Saxon Way, N14.

For the past few months we have had so much dog mess on the pavement. We are lucky to have a park on our doorstep but we have horrible local residents who have dogs and dont pick after their dogs. The pavements are disgusting. I now walk in the road to avoid the mess.

I have emailed the council to ask for it to be cleaned, these requests have not been done. As a road we have identified one of the culprits, I send them photos of the man, the dogs and the mess and his address (we followed him home). But we have not had a response. – Enfield Council. Your reference is 101001941083.

This week the was a very upsetting ultication when another resident asked another man to pick up his dogs mess. He was agressive and threatening. Again we have video evidence of this.

Please can someone help us stop this situation. We need your help to stop our street becoming a toilet for dogs.
