Response details:

Dear Cllr Stephanos Ioannou,

Thank you for your enquiry regarding a witnessed fly-tipping incident in the garage area at The Glade, N21.

An inspection has been carried out and the waste searched for evidence. Evidence was obtained, linked to a local address and enquiries made with the residing resident. Further enquiries will be made regarding this incident.

Please can you provide me with the residents contact details, as I would like to obtain the video footage to see if the vehicle is one that we recognise.

With regards to clearance of the waste, this is private land and will not be cleared by the Council. A warning will be issued to the landowner requiring clearance. In addition to this, as the land is private, consideration is not being given for the use of CCTV to monitor this land.

Kind regards,
Waste Enforcement Officer

Original enquiry description:

Evening, Thought I’d share this with you & also prove this rubbish is being fly tipped.
They’re 2 men and obviously oblivious to the fact that at 12.10pm lunchtime on a Sunday people were passing yet nobody seemed to look down the lane. I pretended to be talking on my phone whilst recording them but could not get their number plate as the van doors stayed open . Defo needs a sign or camera to stop this. Why not go to the Barrowell green dump ? Regards
