Thank you for your follow-up email regarding the VAS signs in Oakwood Crescent and for the suggestions in how things can be improved to increase safety for the school children and other road users.

The street lighting service area would not have any objections and would be happy to utilise existing assets to display additional signage but unfortunately, we do not have the autonomy to agree or implement these changes. The decisions on where signs are located are made by other teams such as traffic & transportation and road safety who are fully conversant with the standards and guidelines.

I can confirm that these teams do have on-going boroughwide 20mph projects in progress and may be happy to include these recommendations in their current projects. I will contact the project managers overseeing the roll-out of the project and bring your comments and suggestions to their attention
