Planting of the wetlands cells was carried out on Thursday 1st June, further planting will be carried out over the next few weeks, dates TBC. These wetland plants will establish over the course of the summer alongside trees that were planted last winter – it will take 2-3 years for the wetlands to really mature and start to look like a more natural established feature of the park.

It is also proposed to install amenity features such as seating, signage and improved access (such as boardwalks, dipping platforms and footpaths). Some of these measures will be installed this summer but some (such as dipping platforms and footpaths require additional funding which is still being sought).
