Response details:
Dear Cllr Stephanos Ioannou,
We refer to your constituent concerns regarding parking issues in Chase Side, N14.
Where locations are identified as experiencing persistent parking issues, they are added to an enhanced enforcement monitoring list. Following reports of illegal parking activity, Chase Side, N14 has been included on this list and our parking enforcement contractor, NSL, has been instructed to increase patrols in the area. Officers will continue to monitor the location and take enforcement action against any vehicles found to be parked in contravention of parking restrictions. We can confirm that, since 1 June 2026, a total of 182 Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) have been issued in Chase Side, N14.
Whilst we acknowledge that non-compliant parking continues to occur, this situation is unfortunately not unique to Chase Side and reflects the parking pressures experienced in many parts of the borough where parking capacity is limited. Some motorists choose to park inconsiderately rather than seek a legal parking space elsewhere. Continuous enforcement at a single location is not feasible with current resources, and some drivers take advantage of periods between enforcement patrols.
We have forwarded the resident’s comments regarding the incident on the day in question to the Contracts Manager for investigation and any appropriate action.
NSL will continue to monitor Chase Side and issue Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles found parked in contravention of the parking regulations.
Should residents witness vehicles parked in contravention, they can report this directly to NSL by calling 020 3856 0036 or by emailing en01.communications@nslservices.co.uk.
