MEQ- Queen Elizabeth Drive, Wynchgate and Park View Review

Response details:

Dear Cllr Stephanos Ioannou,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Transport for London (TfL) grant funding has been secured to carry out further investigation in the Queen Elizabeth Drive, Wynchgate and Park View Review area. This work includes the use of Automated Traffic Counters (ATCs) and Junction Turning Counts (JTCs). Proposed survey locations were published on the Lets Talk project page on 7 April, with a request for residents to provide feedback and suggest additional locations. The deadline for submissions was 27 April. Ward Cllrs were notified of this via email. All proposed locations were reviewed, and the traffic surveys were conducted between the 12 – 18 June. Once the survey results have been reviewed, any measures identified subject to statutory consultation will be considered for implementation based on the scale of the intervention and the availability of funding. We will be able to provide a further update to Ward Cllrs, once the data has been reviewed.

Kind regards,

Original enquiry description:

Queen Elizabeth Drive, Wynchgate and Park View Review

“Enfield Council will apply for funding to progress this project next financial year (from April 2024). We anticipate the project would involve a detailed review of traffic volumes and speeds in the area, gathering of community input of issues in the area, and consideration of potential improvements. The project outcomes will be subject to future funding.”

Can I please ask for an update on this, has the department secured the funding, will this debate be continuing and is there any future plans for these roads? Is there any progress at all?
