Dear Cllr Stephanos Ioannou,
Case Reference: 101000847239.
Thank you for bringing to our attention the sloping grass verge outside the resident’s property that needs to be cut by the council. This matter has been brought to the attention of the team supervisor, who apologizes for the delay in completing the work. The team attempted to cut the grass, believing the ground was safe, but realized it was not after starting the work. As a result, the supervisor has scheduled the area to be cut during the week commencing 28/05.
Kind regards,
Original enquiry description:
The attached photograph is of the sloping grass verge outside my property in The Vale. It is always a challenging area for grass cutting because of the slope and last week the Council workers did start on it (as you can see). I was about to ask the Council about it but saw on the Enfield Council website that the cutting of verges had had to be paused because the wet weather had made the earth too soft to continue. My concern now is that it has been half done and looks a mess. It might have been better if they hadn’t started it really. I wondered if you could find out when they may be able to complete the job. They might need scythes! It’s already about three feet high in places. Many thanks.
