MEQ- Waste Collections on Mayfield Avenue

Response details:

Dear Cllr Stephanos Ioannou,

Thank you for your enquiry.
The Waste Operations team has advised me collection takes place fortnightly on a Monday. The bins were contaminated and they arranged for the bins to be emptied on 2nd February 2024. A Commercial Waste officer visited this property today, 12th February 2024, and spoke with the resident at 33 Pruden Close.
It has been agreed for a 3rd 1280Ltr mixed recycling bin to be installed. The officer found the existing recycling bins do not have locks, which has allowed the bins to be contaminated with black sacks. These recycling bins will be repaired, so the locks work. This will reduce the risk of the bins being contaminated.
I hope I have answered your enquiry. Your sincerely

Our Recycle Bins are always overflowing , I have noticed we only have two other blocks have four !
can this be rectified , people will either throwing stuff on the floor or putting paper etc in the main bin and causing that to get full too quick as well and undermining the point in the recycle bins
if you dont wish to deal with this let me know and I will make a complaint , it just I dont want be constantly making complaints and would rather go through standard procedures , but im not sure who to talk to or if I will get a response
