Missed Bin Collections- MEQ

This thread is just an example of how I deal with missed collections:

Original Email:

Dear XXXX,

Not to worry this is an important subject and your not the only one experiencing such issues with the service.

I have cc’d the relevant department and asked:

1. When can we expect your receipt.
2. Can the council get in touch with you and get a full rundown of the issue here
3. Can we expect the brown bins as well as the green bin to be collected weekly from now on
4. Extra care from the collection crew.

Dear Cllr Ioannou,

Many thanks for your enquiry on behalf of XXXXX. I have asked my colleague who is looking after the green bin subscription to investigate further.

At present we are unable  to find the request or subscription on our data base. We have tried calling XXXX and have  had no luck , so we have sent an email this evening requesting a call back, we will also attempt to make contact tomorrow.

In answer the questions you have raised:

1. When can we expect your receipt.

If the subscription was placed via the Council website , a receipt would have been issue at the time of request and a  bin permit would have been generated. Once we have received further information from XXXX , we will be able to advise further

As explained above the service has called and sent and email , and is awaiting for XXX

1. Can we expect the brown bins as well as the green bin to be collected weekly from now on

I can confirm that the food waste service is assigned to this road and the collection day is a Tuesday , non-collections should be reported via the Council website

1. Extra care from the collection crew

We have spoken to our collection crew and reminded them of the standards we expect when working for the Council, and the need to pay due care when carrying our collections to ensure all bins are collected on their scheduled collection day
