Thank you for your recent correspondence in which you raise concerns with the level of lighting along the pathway linking Waterfall Road and Balams Lane.
Based on your email we have looked at the existing set up of street lighting along the pathway and are in agreement that some modification to the output would be of benefit to end users. Fortunately we had the scope to increase the output of the streetlights along the pathway without needing to change the existing luminaries.
The increased output was carried out on Monday 28th February and would take effect from that date, however we would be keen to obtain the views of users in order to gauge the success of these changes and determine if any further modifications are deemed to be required.
Our aim is to provide a service that fulfils the needs and desires of our residents, stakeholders and visitors but we are limited in what we as officers can do without affecting the set and agreed outcomes for lighting across the borough.
