Tintern Gardens junction with Winchmore Hill Road- MEQ

Original Email:

Dear Department,

Attached below are two pictures showing the current situation on Tintern Gardens on the junction with WHR. I am concerned that the maintenance team have allowed the shrubbery to overgrow to this extent, and allowed the pavement to be almost completely covered by overgrown green. Is there any chance we can get the team down there to clear the walkway of this pavement?

Kind Regards,
Cllr. Stephanos Ioannou

Response:

Dear Cllr Ioannou

Thank you for your email dated 28th July 2019, regarding the maintenance team allowing the shrubbery to overgrow, and allowed the pavement to be almost completely covered by overgrown green.

I have contact the Supervisor, and he has inform me that the team have started the shrub maintenance visit yesterday, but could not continue due to the remedials and preparations works for the carriageway resurfacing taking place over the next couple of days.

The team at present are carrying out shrub maintenance in other roads in this area. Once the resurfacing works are completed and the road is opened, our ground maintenance team will be back to continue with the shrub maintenance in Tintern Gardens. I do anticipate that this will be completed by the end of this week,  once the works have been completed I will carry out an inspection to ensure works are within specification.

I hope that this answers your query.

Regards
