Thanks for your report regarding cigarette butts in Chase Road N14.
We have operatives cleansing here daily, they have been instructed to be more diligent when sweeping up the cigarette butts, We also have a mechanical sweeper in this area daily and they have been instructed the same. Street Cleansing do not install cigarette bins, and are cautious about installing a litter bin as this can sometimes lead to making the problem worse. The supervisor of the area will monitor this location and asses the need for a bin.

The state of the pavement outside the barber shop at the top of Chase Road. It is invariably littered with cigarette ends where the customers dump their dog-ends. At times it is also necessary to pass through a cloud of exhaled smoke as they congregate outside. Perhaps the business could be made to provide and be responsible for an appropriate and safe bin.
