MEQ- Racist Graffiti Southgate

Dear Cllr Stephanos Ioannou,

Thank you for your report of offensive and racist graffiti on the road name plate for Dalrymple Close
The graffiti was removed within an hour of receiving Cllr Jewells email at 12.37 on Monday 4th March, passing on the email you copied him into I have investigated the reference numbers supplied by xxx and can confirm that none of them were ever assigned to Street Cleansing for graffiti removal. The operatives who took the calls and raised the jobs, never finished processing them properly so they were never submitted. The first report to come through to us was the one raised by yourself 101000738879 as this MEQ, which I took on later that afternoon I have raised the issue regarding the unsubmitted reports with the Customer Service Operations Manager, who has apologised for these mistakes and assured me that there will be a program of refresher training carried out for the staff involved I can only apologise for the mistakes made by the call centre staff and hope to reassure you that we take the removal of offensive and racist graffiti very seriously, ensuring that we meet our SLAs at all times
Yours sincerely
Bob Thompson
Operations Manager
Street Cleansing

Original enquiry description:

The offensive and racist graffiti is on the road sign on Dalrymple Close, about a metre from the floor, junction with Chase Road, N14 4LQ. Not only do the residents and visitors of Dalrymple Close have to see this every time they enter the road, this road sign is also next to a primary school.
