MEQ- The Winchmore Pub, Church Hill, Houndsden RoadMEQ-

Response details:
Dear Cllr Stephanos Ioannou,
Case Reference: 101000847229.

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the resident’s inquiry about the grass verge that needs cutting despite multiple messages sent over the past 5 months, without a resolution.

I have forwarded this issue to the team supervisor responsible for the area. He has informed me that the grass cutting season usually runs from April to September/October. Due to the abundant growth caused by the rain in March and the sunny spells in early April, the grass cutting teams are currently out and will address this as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Original enquiry description:

We live in a nine flat block just passed roundabout at The Winchmore Pub, Church Hill,Houndsden Road. We as residents have constantly sent photos and had ‘chat line’ with Enfield Council for past 5 months to have our grass verge cut in front of our block! Employees of Enfield Council repeatedly say they will arrange to have the verge cut- but it hasn’t happened in over 8 months… we pay our council tax like everyone else. It’s an absolute eyesore -completely overgrown. It is a larger area than the pavement type verge so it looks more unkempt. Can you help? We have no one else to ask… the Council don’t seem to do anything about it.
